Oceana Digital will be donating to our raffle a new, iPod Touch!!!

Special Guest: Jay Ignaszewski

Film credits: Return of the Jedi, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, to name a few. He has worked with the likes of George Lucas, Steven Speilberg, David Lynch and Mel Brooks among other notables.

For the June 2010 meeting in Washington, DC, we have AJA + NYC's Oceana Digital and the Autodesk Smoke team presenting the latest 2011 release of "Smoke on the Mac". This is a high end finishing platform specifically engineered to run on the Apple platform (MacPro) with AJA's Kona 3 hardware and NVIDIA's GPUs. Check out the post on DCFCPUG for details on the specific hardware and software requirements to operate this incredibly capable finishing system for the Mac platform.

At one of the DCFCPUG meetings in 2010, someone will be the lucky winner of a KiPro. DCFCPUG Membership is FREE to join, and the prize raffle will be for registered members only! You must attend in person to be eligible to win! Who will be our big winner for 2010, will it be YOU?

We have been working to establishing a viable process and program to engage our online readership while providing an environment that we can learn, share and explore Apple Pro applications, Adobe and Avid among other tools used in the industry.

While Apple Pro apps are a focus for the group, we do engage with the best of breed industry apps, tricks of the trade and services to improve our workflow in this creative and competitive marketplace.

Invite your friends, associates, colleagues and anyone who is interested in keeping this activity vibrant, and productive. We want you to take a more active role in 2010!

We are doing our part to provide a DC based FCP group but I do ask that you set aside one day each month to attend our meetings and share your knowledge with us at our meetings and online. Go to the main site and view upcoming DCFCPUG meetings and look out for the registration posts online or in your email (for registered users)... Once a registered member, don't forget to LOGIN and make sure your profile is current with a valid email address, etc. Some content on the site is visible only to registered users, so don't miss out!

We have a growing sponsorship program that supports our DCFCP Winner's Circle raffle each month. We raffled off thousands of dollars worth of prizes last year, and continue the trend this year! You can be a winner too, just buy raffle tickets, attend and take a chance at winning & participating in the fun, food and friendship!
